Poodles are supposed to have originated in Germany with the word Poodle meaning to splash in the water, but France is officially recognized as it’s country of origin. It is a known breed that has been around for at least 400 years in Western Europe. Toy poodle puppies are a friendly, intelligent, loyal, energetic and elegant appearing small dog. They have beautiful curly, soft textured hair that are solid throughout. The life span is generally between 12-15 years. Their height is up to 10 inches and weight is usually between 6-9 pounds. Definitely need to be an inside pet due to small size. They are very rewarding pets, tend to be easy to train and one of the brightest breeds. Toy Poodle puppies often entertain their families with tricks. Toy Poodles are eager to please, playful, responsive and alert. They tend to love the company and interaction of children and adults. They are not considered to be a “yappy” dog, but they will bark to defend or warm their owners. They tend to be more reserved that other toy breeds.
